Sale A Bration Is still going on

So who loves FREE product?  Who loves patterned paper? And who loves coloring?
Did you raise your hand for all three?
 I know I did!

The Springtime Foils designer series paper is an item you can pick for free during the Sale A Bration event that ends this month.
I used the Stampin' Blends to color this paper the flowers and leaves have raised foil outlines so it works really well in keeping the color in the lines.

I believe that layers and more layers make a card POP!
So I started with basic black and added layers of old olive and more black

For the inside I used the stamp set  Happy Wishes, also a FREE item with purchase.

Well it's time to get back to crafting!
Leave me a comment to let me know if you like the card.

His and Hers Blog Hop

His and Hers Blog Hop!!

Holy Moly!!

Did you love Eimear Carvill's projects or what? I know I did.

So here is the "her" card...Celebrate! Who doesn't love a celebration?
I will tell you that I took this card Straight from the catalog.  I think that we forget sometimes that its a great inspiration and idea book.

On this card there is lots of layers, and that silver really sparkles around that Berry Burst flower.

So same layout for a "his" card.
Anyone else always think guy cards are much harder to do?
But this really did, just kinda flow together.  I knew I wanted to use the set, Epic Celebrations from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
I love it cause it has the word awesome in it. I am a Southern California 80's girl and Awesome is my word :))

I also knew I wanted to use the Wood Texture DSP it's one of our 6x6 stacks of dsp.
Love it! Nothing more manly then chopped wood ;)

Do you use the multipurpose adhesive sheets?
They are amazing when you are cutting out delicate details.
It basically turns your card stock into a sticker.

Did you notice I stamped on the wood dsp?
I kinda surprised myself with that one :))

And here is the finished card.
Can you see the tone on tone of the Real Red ink?

I am truly lucky to be in this blog hop with so much talent.
Be sure to check out all the blogs .
Did I mention TALENTED!!
So on to the next blog....
Susan Wong is going to show you some Awesomeness!
See, told you it was my word :))

Tiny Stamps for Let's Get Hopping Blog Hop

So who is super excited today?

Yep, this girl, why you ask?

This is my very first blog hop.

I have been challenged by a great friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator (Thanks Diana!) into stretching myself, and going outside my comfort zone. And writing is defiantly outside my comfort zone.
Ever since a English teacher made me cry, a long, long, long time ago, I have been convinced that I can't write.
So here I am STRETCHING :)). Hopefully it's not as painful as my first Yoga class  :))

This blog hop is all about small stamps.
You know the ones, the tiny ones that sit in their case and rarely get used. Where you look at them and think what am I supposed to do with these.
 Well let us show you!

Let's start with this great stamp set, Swirly Bird and I'm going to use this one tiny stamp in it.

I needed a masculine card, who doesn't need a guy card every once in a while?

So I pulled out Soft Sky, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede and randomly stamped on my piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Then I stamped Happy Birthday in Pacific Point, using the Stylized Birthday stamp.

Stylized Birthday is not a small stamp but it's probably one of my favorite stamps in the catalog.

So, hope you enjoyed my take on small stamps and making your own pattern paper.

WOW, that was defiantly less painful then Yoga.  Thanks so much for visiting my blog and don't forget to leave a comment and let me know what you think.
